Mosler MT900S

Mosler MT900S

The MT900S was basically a 2005 update for the MT900 sports car which was designed by Rod Trenne. The vehicle’s name stands for Mosler (M), Trenne (T) and 900 kgs which was the model’s target weight range. The model was built both in the US as well as the UK by the company. With only a single prototype produced, the model was limited to just 20 finished copies between its limited production run spanning from 2003 to 2010.

Interior

Built in-house, the Mosler proprietary seating provides generous thigh and back support for the very low seating position. A choice of Alcantara or soft leather can be used to upholster the bespoke carbon-fiber and Kevlar molded seats. Best described as a cockpit, the cabin of the MT900s features a lot of vents and speakers for optimized comfort and entertainment of the driver. A clean and uncluttered instrument cluster allows the driver to enjoy the drive without worrying about being able to read the gauges. As the driver nears the redline, the tachometer needle becomes red and then begins flashing red to indicate max speed. An exotic glowing blue carbon effect is created at night when the blue instruments’ backlighting reflects downward from the carbon fiber hood instruments. The cabin comes fitted with all modern amenities including a JL audio power amp, subwoofer and audio speakers fronted by a Pioneer touchscreen head unit that also features live images from the rear camera. Other interior gadgetry includes power locks, power windows and A/C.

Exterior

Designed for aerodynamics and efficiency, the somewhat plain exterior helped the model improve its fuel efficiency and performance standards and provide an outstandingly economical operation. The model is built upon a carbon fiber monocoque. One of the fastest production sports cars in the market today, Mosler MT900S can visually stop traffic as a dominant race car with its smooth and graceful flowing lines and exceptional aerodynamic efficiency. Twin louvered ducts on the nose create down force in the absence of a wing and down force supplements the front down force being formed by the wheel extractors. The low-ride-height vehicle optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and safety via a flat underside.
