Munk Bogballe Workstation: Fusion of functionality and sheer beauty
workstation 3JjOJ 48 Created through processes that combines high-end technology with the finest materials and dedicated craftsmanship, the Munk Bogballe Workstation is just meant for those who have a passion for beauty, quality, and simplicity. In stead of focusing purely on technological computing capabilities, David Munk Bogballe wanted to bring factors such as feel, non-technical functionality and appearance to the forefront. The Munk Bogballe Workstation is the outcome of this process and with its silent authority, it boasts to be an excellent computing tool of a modern and accomplished individual. The surfaces of the Workstation are made of aluminum that has been anodized to bring out both the comfortable and functional qualities of the metal. During the iodization process, on the one hand, the pores of the aluminum are sealed off and this makes the surface less receptive to dirt and grease and more resistant to scratches. The underside of the Workstation is covered with the finest quality of soft, European aniline leather. Talking about the hardware, the Munk Bogballe Workstation comes equipped with 13.3-inch widescreen display (1280 x 800 resolution), 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of memory, 160 GB hard drive, 8x Super Drive, built-in webcam, microphone and stereo speakers. The machine weighs 3.13 kg in all and that doesn’t impress me a lot. Every Workstation comes with both the Mac OS X and Windows XP operating systems pre-installed. With every buy, you get two simple, beautiful and proportionately identical bags made of exquisite European calf leather designed in collaboration with Wolfgang Olbrish. Offered in ivory, black, and dark red finishes, the Munk Bogballe Workstation comes for US $6,820 while the additional bag will set you back $645. And yes, for each workstation sold, they donate one XO laptop to the One Laptop per Child organisation. Thanks: David Munk Bogballe
