The actor has put up his gated ranch house in Studio City for sale at $1.59 million. Neil has bought the house, which was built in 1954, with partner David Burtka in 2007 for $1.5 million.

Location: This 2,408 square foot Galewood Street house, is located in the hills of Studio City.

Accommodation: The home has six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms within its walls. With a measured carpet area of 4,286 square feet, the home is definitely a large living space. It is a two-storey house with three bedrooms on the upper floor and the other three on the ground floor.

Features: The house sits in a pretty urban part of the city. The suburban architecture has been termed as 'vanilla at best' by many a home-critic and understandably so. While the home boasts of several features, it looks pretty banal from the outside and inside.

The living room arrives with mocha-colored hardwood floors and a fireplace. The adjacent dining space comes with wainscotting around the walls and French doors open out to a deck. A well-equipped but small kitchen completes the ground floor. The master suite on top has its own private bath, spa, walk-in closet and balcony. The house is exactly not a kind that a 'glam' couple would be sen as purchasing. However, it must be mentioned that it gives good value for money.

Neighborhood: The house is located in one of the less swankier and less posh areas of the city. There is a pretty high density of commercial skyscrapers and condominiums. Some of the other celebrities in and around this area include basketball player Shaquille O'Neal, Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus and Emma Roberts.

Neil Patrick Harris celebrated his Christmas vacation in St. Tropez, which is one of his favorite holiday spots in 2010. Neil has been a regular at the French holiday hotspot, having spent his 2009 New Year holidays there too. The singer spent about a week there indulging in various activities like yachting, rafting and sunbathing. Harris was accompanied by his partner David Burtka and his twin sons along with British pop legend Sir Elton John and his soul mate David Furnish.

Accommodation : Hotels can be a bit pricey in this millionaire infested sea resort. 5 star accommodations like Hotel Ermitage and Villa Cosy can cost a bomb at $1600 per night of stay. Although there is hardly any budget lodging available some of the hotels like Hôtellerie De La Poste are quite affordable at $200 per day. 

Main Attractions: The sun-kissed beaches are the most obvious attraction of St. Tropez and the twin beaches of Plage de Pampellone and Plage des Graniers records the highest number of tourist footfalls in a year. They offer a range of aquatic sports like scuba diving and rafting. Scores of beach side restaurants offer a great variety of sea food along with drinks. The nightlife the town offers is another big draw and the famous nightspot of “Papagayo Club” along with” Le Pays Du Roy” are the ones most frequented by visitors. The Mouscardins restaurant showcases a great variety of mouthwatering local cuisine although it can be a little expensive. The Musee St Tropez boasts of one of the finest modern art selections in Europe. There are plenty of shops along with the beach side and town center where tourists can indulge themselves in bargain shopping.

Neil Patrick Harris is dedicated towards cancer research. Harris was deeply impacted when his partner, David Burtka lost his mother to cancer. Thus began his support for NFF which is involved in raising funds for translational research on women's cancer to develop new diagnostics, therapies, cures and tools.

This charity evolved during the relief efforts for the victims of the 2005 tsunami. It aims to provide humanitarian relief to people in poverty and in disaster-struck areas of the world. Harris' heart seems to melt especially at the plight of children in these regions and he actively supports the charity.

The Trevor Project has been inspired from the 1981 movie of the same name. The leading US national organization focuses on the multiple problems faced by youth which led them to suicide. The American actor, singer, director, and magician, has openly admitted being gay and so been the project's leading campaigner and supporter when it comes to its suicide and crisis prevention efforts among transgender, bisexual, gay and questioning youth.

The soft corner in actor Neil Patrick Harris' heart for children is evident from his financial and moral support to Hope North, a charity that aims to rebuild lives in Uganda through education and job-training. The charity has a 40-acre campus in northern Uganda which is the refuge for refugees, orphans and child soldiers who have escaped their fate!

Neil Patrick Harris has a face with a relatively large forehead and thus, the cockpit aviator sunglasses seem to complement him best!
