In the world of high end amplifiers, which is a pretty dizzying place now considering the numerous brands and their offerings, but very out of these will perhaps be players in the league of Boulder. The new 3060 power amplifier, which is to be retailed for a price tag of $115,000, is now being pitched by the audio world as the most powerful the world around. Just like other players such as the Bluetube Audio Vaccum amplifier, Jones Audio PA-M300, Gryphon Mephisto, and the MBL C15, the 3060 amplifier from Boulder will be made in limited quantities to ensure full satisfaction to its luxury connoisseurs.

Boulder 3060 Class A Amplifier

Speaking of the technical make up, the Boulder 360 Class A is powered with 900 Watts of power per channel into 8 ohms. The circuitry inside the amplifiers is largely based on the Boulder 3050 Mono-block design, which uses 120 semi-conductors in its design. These semi-conductors also ensure that the bias currents are monitored to increase efficient usage, and reduce the heat energy wastage factor. As Rich Maez, director of Boulder officially puts on record, the 3060 Class A from Boulder will be capable of handling massive current swings, therefore will be made with 240 volt capabilities, and none with any lower configurations will ever be made.

Boulder 3060 Class A Amplifier

On the exterior, the Boulder 3060 Class A amplifier carries a lot of what the 3000 series was created for. With the plain black granite and stainless platform, reminds the buyer which series of products it belongs too. This comes as an aesthetic contrast to the white bodied amplifier which has been given its own sophisticated angular touches. Boulder has ensured that it puts its CNC Machine centers to good use to construct the outer shell of the product. For someone spending this kind of cash, the Boulder 3060 presents quite the accessory to be proud of.
