New Cadillac Elmiraj Concept
September 3, 2013
At times to get at the essence of something, one needs to take a step backwards and approach things from a fresh perspective. This is what precisely happened at Cadillac when the concept of Elmiraj was created. The Cadillac Elmiraj Concept debuted during the Monterey car week.
Though the designers are of English and French origin but they kept their focus on beast facets of American designs. The lead interior designer for the Cadillac Elmiraj concept, Gael Buzyn points out that he liked the midcentury modern concept.
According to Clay Dean, the design director at Cadillac, the Elmiraj has been inspired from the 1967 Eldorado.
The engine of Elmiraj is conceptual indeed and is a projected version of the twin turbo 6 cylinder which has been expanded into a V8 form and has been rated at 500 horsepower.
Another unique innovation that has been tried in the Elmiraj is the logo. The crest of the Cadillac has been removed and the crest has been simplified a lot. Though the company sources indicate that this is only a concept.
