New red and yellow dial watches for the Ferrari Scuderia collection
To commemorate the launch of the Ferrari California, Officine Panerai rolled out a special edition Ferrari two-counter chronograph in December of last year, and now two new models have been added to the Ferrari Scuderia collection – the Ferrari Chronograph Red Dial and the Ferrari Chronograph Yellow Dial. Both the chronographs clearly reflect the connection with Ferrari cars and the creative approach towards watch-making. Touting a polished steel case with brushed steel edges, the watches come with two screw-down chronograph push pieces and a crown with rims, which remind one of the dashboard controls of Ferrari models. The tachometer scale for calculating average speeds also shows a link with the cars. The Prancing Horse symbol is there on the back of the case, the winding crown and the dial of the two watches. Black calfskin leather has been used for the straps, while the inner layer has been done with red alligator skin.
Both the chronographs have almost the same features, except for the fact that the Ferrari Chronograph Yellow Dial 45 mm replaces the signature Maranello House red in the colored elements of the dial and strap with the “Modena” yellow. The watches from the Scuderia collection differ from those in the Granturismo series. Since the watches are done by Panerai, we can expect the high-precision mechanism and details.
These wristwatches are sure to arouse the same sensations as a Ferrari car. The Ferrari Chronograph Red Dial and the Ferrari Chronograph Yellow Dial are expected to sell for between $8,000 and $10,000.
