Review

The secret to the amazing performance put forth by the GTO 3R lies in its heart - its awesome, twin-turbocharged, 2968cc V6 Duratec engine that has been borrowed from Ford. Igniting the engine, one hears the powerful vroom and feels the strong throttle of this engine. Built wholly from alloy and fitted with many bespoke components, the engine is able to produce 352 bhp of power at 6200 rpm. This translates into a torque of 350 lb-ft at a range of 3500-5000 rpm. Such power is able to accelerate the 2,400 lbs car from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in an amazing 3.7 seconds - way better than its price-peers. Via the Getrag-Ford 6-speed manual gearshift, the car is able to attain a top speed in excess of 260 km/h which is simply marvelous.

Exterior

The M12 GTO 3R has been elegantly and powerfully designed at the same time. The chassis has been made from a steel space-frame along with riveted and bonded alloy panels. The car has removable front and rear sections. It is characterized by two things - the large rear spoiler and the large vent on the bonnet which faces the driver's windshield. The curving bonnet is flanked on either sides by mounds which hold the headlights. These headlights have triple lamps arranged top to bottom in descending size. There is a large triple-grille just below the number plate. The large tires gel well with the overall look of power that the car carries. The rear lamps are also large in size and they sit above two large and powerful exhaust pipes. The car arrives mostly in shades of red.
