To make cooking fun and easy while camping, student designer Jessica Damsma from Monash Universtiy has designed the Outdoor Chef, a portable induction camp cooker with a dual flameless burner. The aim is to provide campers with a new style of portable camp cooker for the outdoors, which addresses the issues of room for food preparation, cleaning and storage. Offering a simple and convenient cooking alternative, the Outdoor Chef is one of the entries for the 2011 Australian Design Award. This Outdoor Chef camp cooker has been designed with an aim to set a trend for future portable camp cookers.

The design allows increased flexibility while cooking, without worrying about cleaning, storage and time spent in assembling. The flameless camp cooker also avoids the chances for any bush fires. The Outdoor Chef makes cooking in the outdoors more enjoyable and safe by enhancing the functionality of a camp cooker.
