One-Off Pagani Zonda C12 with Correspondence from Horacio Pagani himself is Set For Auction
The brainchild of Italian auto-designer Horacio Pagani, Pagani Automobili is known as the hyper-exclusive supercar manufacturer that boasts the world’s preeminent car enthusiasts and collectors as its clients. This small Italian company that engineers a complete vehicle in-house, excluding the engine which is developed as per their specifications, came in direct competition with established manufacturers like Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Porsche, to name a few, after it first unveiled its Pagani Zonda C12 at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. Notably, the Zonda in Coupe form powered by a V12 DOHC engine made by Mercedes-Benz AMG division and inspired by Mercedes-Benz Group C ‘Silver Arrow’sports-racers is truly one-of-a-kind automotive masterpiece and an immediate attention grabber. Now, a one-off, one owner from new, the 2003/2010 Pagani Zonda C12S/F 7.3-litre Coupé with chassis number ZA9C820C10SF76046, will be auctioned by auctioneer Bonhams, where it’s expected to fetch as much as $960,000.

Originally manufactured as a right-hand drive, this particular ride which is seemingly small from the outside, yet is endowed with a comfortable cabin, was sent back to Pagani’s factory back in year 2009 for some accident repairs and upgrading to powerful, exclusive and high-performance ‘F’ specification.

Completed in 2010, this work included the incorporation of some exclusive Zonda Cinque features, which includes 2 front splitters, special side skirts and mirrors, while at the rear the car received the special Zonda Tricolore air ducts, diffusers and wing.

On the inside, the centre console was replaced with an installation of Zonda ‘F’ special dashboard, along with the re-trimming of whole of the interior upholstery in finest black leather with contrasting red stitching.

And, for all the up-gradation and conversion, Pagani charged $326,820, a price which is mind-boggling considering the car’s original purchase price of $424,280

In short, it’s a state-of-the-art supercar, extensively reconstructed and upgraded at the factory 2-years ago, which is being offered with full history from new.
