After it first produced the award-winning Bugatti 370 watch, a driving watch based on the exotic Bugatti Veyron supercar, the Swiss brand of luxury watchmakers founded in 1976 by Michel Parmigiani, Parmigiani Fleurier has been widely recognized for its Bugatti inspired stylistic timepieces. Parmigiani which earlier showcased its exceptionally high-end timepiece dubbed as Bugatti Super Sport timepiece inspired by the special edition Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, has now unveiled a new addition of its Bugatti Collection, the La Bugatti Vitesse. Inspired by the new
The La Bugatti Vitesse’s PF372 movement is described to be the world’s first movement which includes a double-pinion system with bevel gearing, and a complex mechanism which allows for a perpendicular time display, while the technical aspects of the movement widely remains the same.
Considering the special paintwork of the world’s fastest convertible which is a modern alloy that combines shine and matt color, giving the car an almost paramilitary appearance, the watchmaker has used titanium to reflect the supercar-like masculinity in the watch. Bugatti Vitesse’s case consists of perfectly polished and satin-finished surface which gives the timepiece more virility.
Conveying the concept of speed first and foremost, the dial of the new Bugatti Vitesse has been reworked with indexes that are spindle shaped between 3 and 9 o’clock, conveying an expression of acceleration, revitalizing the oval dial of the watch. Also, the crown is set with two cabochons and lapis-lazuli semi-precious stones of rare purity which illuminates the timepiece. These cabochons, blue or orange in colors, are engraved with the initials of Parmigiani Fleuier, and the individual watch number is also engraved on the case-back.
The watch comes with a Hermès alligator strap, with titanium folding buckle with polished finish.
