Perini Navi to build the second largest yacht for a mystery buyer
The race towards the top slots in the yacht world seems to begin again; Perini Navi which came to light for its Maltese Falcon yacht, which also happens to be amongst the most expensive yachts, has now successfully begun work for the C2227 yacht. If records are anything to go by, this vessel shall become the world’s 2nd largest yacht, and perhaps stand as a competitor to Abramovich’s Eclipse, which still tops the list by leaps and bounds. In 2015, an unnamed but certainly well endowed, monetarily, will be become the owner of this giant yacht.
Now that the news is out, everyone seems to be wondering what kind of detailing and features would be available on the mega-yacht, but like the owner’s name, it’s still a mystery but sources say that the latest advancements in yacht making technology, with the aesthetic expertise of Perini Navy Design and American PH Design for interior set up and decoration. Also, Philippe Briand, the consulting firm known for their expertise in marine technology will also be pitching in terms of what amenities would be there on yacht, and in which conditions can technology be used in them. Since, the project is a few years from completion, considerable resources are getting diverted to using the most exclusive of gadgetry and electronics on the yacht.
From the looks of the initial concept which has been released, one can notice the large masts, which will be essential for the steering and control of the boat (226 feet in length), along with helping with efficiency. Also, the ample open areas would mean the presence of a swimming pool and ample opportunities for water sports and snorkeling activities on board. To describe it in short, we fathom the vessel would be an energy efficient as well as a luxurious vessel, with virtually every possible wish being fulfilled on a common platform.Till then, let’s wait and see what this mega-yacht turns out to be, and who the lucky owner is.
