Pininfarina to celebrate 80th anniversary with a ‘multi-purpose’ luxury watch
Pininfarina has always impressed us with their range of consumer and industrial offerings, but this time is different as the Italian car design firm and coachbuilder celebrates its 80th anniversary with the launch of a Pininfarina Tourbillon Ottana watch. This masterpiece is the result of a partnership with watchmaker Bovet that shares space on the dial with Pininfarina. The new timepiece visibly reflecting the principles of Pininfarina design style, features a reversible 36 mm case housing the automatic Bovet made Calibre 16BA01 movement along with 80 hours of power reserve. Apart from the purity of lines and an aesthetic synthesis, the Pininfarina Tourbillon Ottana is supposed to be a “multi-purpose” luxury watch with its removable wrist straps to make it a pocket watch or a table clock. Priced between $280,000 to $300,000, the Pininfarina Tourbillon Ottana watch is a combination of beauty and practicality, form and technology, and is sure to dazzle enough collectors.
