Andrea Divirgilio / September 25, 2012

Porsche’s upcoming and much-hyped about hybrid supercar, the 918 Spyder, which originally debuted as an open-top two-seat concept at the Geneva Auto Show 2010, has now been described as the worst-kept secret. Reason being, this petrol-electric hybrid supercar has been spied many a times, revealing much-more details than what German automaker officially announced. Unlike other supercar manufacturers who do their very best to keep their upcoming supercars a well-kept secret before the official launch, Porsche is actually not at all trying to cover up any details. As, the automaker already confirmed that their high-performance 918 Spyder parallel-hybrid covered Nordschleife in under seven and a half minutes, and is capable of achieving 0 to 60 mph in maximum of 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 200mph with its powerful V8 engine, which delivers 770-hp. Well, now a brochure has been leaked on the web that distinguished buyers of this one of the most expensive Porsche supercars at $845,000, will have to pay an additional amount of astounding $65,000 for a spectacular Liquid Metal Blue or Liquid Metal Grey exterior finish, if only they want to treat the road to something really different for a change.

However, if the affluent buyer finds Porsche’s exterior-finish charge exorbitant, then they can choose from 4 solid colors, white, black, racing yellow and guards red, and six metallic colors, along with the Martini Racing finish. Notably, this premium quality paint will be applied directly to carbon-fiber reinforced plastic for the first time.

The brochure also reveals that buyers of 918 Spyder will also be able to opt for Weissach Package, which helps reduce the car weight by 34 kg.

Though, there will only be 918 examples, which alone makes the 918 Spyder an extraordinary sports car, but the huge range of customization options means that your own 918 Spyder will almost certainly be one of a kind.

Also, we have earlier seen that German tuner Gemballa introduced the world’s first diamond coating for cars, besides the world’s most expensive car wash, the nano-technology car wash, and the Select Nano luxury spa for cars which offers service in Dubai.
