Porsche 996 Turbo

Porsche 996 Turbo was also a reinvention of design. The design of the car’s earlier versions was reworked to give a smoother finish and a roomier cockpit. The Xenon headlights gave it a killer look. This four wheel drive car was a mean beast with metal body and metallic finish. A true head turner, it also gave fantastic pickup attaining 0-60 mph in just 2.4 seconds. The ceramic brakes and the Porsche stability management system gave it an extraordinary handling and cornering capacity. The ceramic brakes also helped in dramatic weight reduction per wheel as compared to steel brakes. Overall it was a lighter, faster and an elegant version of its predecessor.

The car was stylish on the outside as well as on the inside. Not disappointing its followers, Porsche 996 Turbo was fully equipped with lots of luxury trimmings. To start it had an all leather interior which appeared fantastic. Electric memory seats and sports exhaust added to its style quotient. Another major attraction was the Porsche PCM, a factory device that offered satellite navigation and phone facility. Apart from it, the car was also equipped with Bose music system and climate controls.

 

As Porsche 996 Turbo was a modern sleek car, designed for the sophisticated, it came with a host of luxury fittings. It had cruise control, a CD player and a superior BOSE audio system as standard equipment. The Porsche Communication Management System, or PCM, was a fabulous addition to the Porsche. It integrated audio, satellite navigation and telephone functionality. Apart from this, the 996 Turbo also included a programmable remote entry and anti-theft system that could set off an alarm and render the vehicle immobile. The vehicle was equipped with automatic climate control and filters, heated power side-view mirrors, rain sensor wipers and a leather wrapped three-spoke steering wheel embedded with Porsche Crest. The efficient ceramic brakes and the airbags added to the safety features of this car.
