Brioni or Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, which one would you prefer for this summer??

As global warming turns the whole of world into a “hot spot”, top brands are busy churning out amazing collections to help you beat the summer heat. We had earlier reported on Chopard unraveling their range of, what many claim to be, the most expensive sunglasses in the world. Turn now for Brioni and Dolce and Gabbana to join the ranks. Brioni has clothed some of the world’s best known men back through time. They are even credited with designing one of the most expensive suits in the world. For the Italian fashion house, whose suits have reached such an iconic status, the sunglass range marks their maiden foray into the world of designer eyewear. Dolce and Gabbana, on the other hand, pay a tribute to contemporary style in their latest female line of sunglasses. Dubbed the Gold Edition, the pieces have all been bathed in yellow and white gold. All aspects considered, the choice is going to be anything but easy for the eyewear crazy fashionistas out there. And to make your decision a bit more complicated or perhaps provide you with a bit of helpful guidance (whichever way you look it actually) here’s is what the Brioni and Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses pack onto themselves.

Brioni forays into the world of designer eyewear with its latest rangeLaunched in a grand ceremony at London’s Connaught Hotel, the Brioni glasses, though newbies, have all the makings of a seasoned champion. While the entire range remains packed with a number of amazing features, the buffalo horn arms top the list. Both the arms were cut from a single sheet of horn and designed to have adjustable lengths. Moreover, if you are into the habit of messing around with all your eyewear pieces, the Brioni glasses may provide some relief. Created specifically to have a 180 degree bend, the glasses lower the risk of breakage. Speaking about the range, creative director of Brioni, Jason Basamijan added, “(this) was the closest we could get to bespoke without doing special orders”. There are, in all, 15 variants in the range. So, you have the option to choose between teardrop and square shapes, stunning gold, gunmetal and silver frames, and smoke, green or brown lenses. And talking of lenses, their Brioni versions come with special oil and water resistant features. The uber cool, horn buttoned leather cases constitute the final icing on the cake.

If the Brioni beauties are too good to resist, then the Dolce and Gabbana wonders will mesmerize you all the way.

The Dolce and Gabbana gold edition sunglasses

Introduced in 2009, the Dolce and Gabbana Gold edition collection of chic and stylish eyewear represents a brilliant cross between the modern and the classic. Each and every model comes with a solid 18 karat gold plating. In what can be described as a perfect example of history repeating itself, Dolce and Gabbana for their latest range drew inspirations from the past. The gold edition collection has been done entire in solid gold. Fitted with polarized lenses, the pieces are available in white and yellow gold variants. Needless to point out, the golden beauties, amazing as they are, will not be every fashionista’s cup of tea. For those who can afford them, the good news is Dolce and Gabbana hits stores worldwide with their limited edition gold sunglasses from June, 2012.
