Prince Andrew, Duke of York

Third child of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip Mountbatten, Andrew Albert Christian Edward or Prince Andrew was named after his paternal grandfather Prince Andrew of Greece. He was educated at schools in Berkshire and Scotland before joining the Royal Navy to become a successful pilot and then a Lieutenant Commander in 1992. The Duke of York married his childhood friend Sarah Ferguson in Westminster Abbey, and has two children - Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. As a result of unstable marriage relationship and linkup of Sarah with her American financial advisor, the couple got divorced, although their friendship continues. Prince Andrew presently works for the UK Department of Trade and Industry and is a supporter of charities including the “National Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Children” and “The Deaf Association”.
