From the beginning of 2013 Kensington Palace will be the designated official residence of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The magnificent palace is presently occupied by several members of the royal elite. Princess Diana once used to stay in the palace which was acquired in 17th century by the British Royal Family.

There is also a medium sized decorative water body known as the “Round Pond” situated on the outdoor portion of the estate.

Prince William loves to take out his metallic black colored Ducati 1198 motorcycle on long drives. The Prince has participated in a charity motorcycle rally held in South Africa with the $33,000 bike and even roamed through the streets of London on the night before his wedding in this mean machine. Sometimes he is accompanied by his wife Kate Middleton during his bike rides. The vehicle is powered by a liquid-cooled Desmodromic1100cc engine which delivers an output of 170HP well complemented by 97 lb-ft of torque. The 1198’s speed gun can clock a speed of 100 km/hour after start in just 2.5 seconds and is capable of attaining a maximum speed of 305 km/hour. The superbike makes use of a 6 speed transmission system. In a bizarre a few months back mice tore through the wiring of the sports bike which resulted in the grounding of the 1198 for a few days, much to the consternation of the Prince. The bike was ultimately restored to workable condition after expensive repairs amounting to $10,000 were carried out.
The royal wedding of Prince Charles with Catherine Middleton was the talk of the world almost with all major television channels airing it in part at least while BBC and CNN carried out an elaborate live of the whole event. It was held on the 29th of April, 2011 and was presided by the dean of Westminister, John Hall. It is estimated that the direct wedding cost, borne by Her Majesty's British Treasury exceeded £20 million while the indirect cost-to-economy from the extra public holidays declared for the occasion range from £1.2 billion and £6 billion!
The guest list included a number of leaders, prime-ministers and heads of governments from all the Commonwealth countries and a number of members from royal families. The actual ceremony was held at Westminister Abbey with the bride wearing a dress made of satin with an appliqued skirt and overlaid lace bodice. It was designed by Sarah Burton. The groom wore the traditional mounted officer's uniform of the Irish Guards. Two choirs performed at the wedding and the reception was held at the Buckingham Palace.
French Alps Vacation
Prince William took a vacation with his then girlfriend, Kate Middleton and her sister Pippa in the French Alps. The whole group enjoyed skiing, sledging and eating champagne with pancakes on the snowy slopes. They also chased each other in snowmobiles with the couple bonding really well through the vacation.

The trio of Prince William, girlfriend Kate Middleton and her sister, Pippa, seem to be a happy company when it comes to vacationing. In the September of 2006, they had a relaxing and lounging vacation cruise in their luxury yacht in Ibiza, Spain along with the Middleton parents. The yacht belonged to Gary Goldsmith, the prince's Middleton uncle. They sun-bathed, dived and swim in the warm waters of Ibiza.

Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund
Princess Diana set up the Princess of Wales Memorial Fund to in 1997 to continue the humanitarian work which she began in UK and worldwide. Prince William now continues to support and fund these causes of fighting for the rights of the disadvantages which his mother started.
The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry
As the name suggests, the two brothers have teamed up to support disadvantaged youths and the veterans who are often neglected. The foundation has been the blessing of philanthropic spirit and drive which the princes have inherited from the parents. It was set up in 2009.
Omega Seamaster Professional
Prince Williams has been known to wear Omega Seamaster Professional watch for years, believed to have been a gift from his mother. It would not be to much of ado for the watch because among all the royal chronometers, Prince William chose to wear this for his D-Day, the wedding which got worldwide coverage. With a history dating back to 1948, the Seamaster has 23 jewels and the accuracy loss is as minimal as 4-6 seconds a day. The watch comes as a masterpiece from the Swiss-based, high-end watch company, Omega, owned by the Swatch group.
Prince William has been wearing this watch for a decade now and has unwittingly become an excellent ambassador for the same, though not officially. The mid-sized, blue-bezeled Seamaster Quartz 300M is the same one which the legendary 'James Bond' wears in several of his movies.
