Rafael Nadal purchased a luxury villa in March 2012. The tennis superstar paid about $2 million to acquire the house. Nadal occasionally flies down to his new home to take much needed breaks from his hectic playing schedule. The villa is occupied for a significant part of the year by Rafael’s family members.
Location: Nadal’s dream villa is located in the exclusive Residential Playa Nueva Romana neighborhood in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean region. The La Romana International Airport is just a fifteen minute drive from the house.
Accommodation: The two-storied house comprises of three bedrooms, a massive living room, one medium sized dining area and three bathrooms. The garage can hold up to four large cars at a time and the kitchen has been equipped with all the latest electronic gadgets. The beach front villa offers spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. The house also boasts of a large terrace and is surrounded a very beautiful tree lined lawn.

The villa boasts of an outdoor swimming pool fitted with a customized stone deck area. Nadal sometimes makes use of the indoor spa to de-stress himself. One of the bathrooms has been equipped with a Jacuzzi. A centralized air conditioner offers relief from the humid Dominican weather. A lot of common facilities like an outdoor tennis court, a large golf course, country club, polo field, high end boutiques, beach club and a fitness center equipped with state of the art gym equipment are provided by the residential enclave of which Nadal’s villa is an integral part.
Neighborhood: Famous people like American actor Francis Capra and former Miss Universe Amelia Vega own homes situated very close to the tennis champion’s villa.

Tennis ace 'Rafa' Nadal decided to take time off and chill out on a vacation to Mauritius in the November of 2008. Having been ruled out of the Davis Cup due to injury, he deserved a break. In between his hectic tennis schedule, southpaw and superstar Rafael Nadal decided to cool his heels in beautiful Ibiza. He was spotted by many as he stopped at a supermrket and did all his shopping. Nadal is a regular here and naturally so for his home country is Spain.
Location: Ibiza is today a UN Heritage site and is located in the Mediterranean Sea, 79 kilometers of the coast of the Spanish city of Valencia.

Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal took full advantage of breaks in between his grueling playing schedule while taking part in the 2013 Mexican Open tennis tournament and jetted off to the exotic beach resort of Cozumel on the 1st week of March 2013. The tennis ace spent a day at Cozumel and was accompanied by his longtime girlfriend, insurance official Maria Francisca Perello for the entire length of his brief sojourn. Nadal utilized his rare day off in order to spend quality time with his sweetheart. The paparazzi managed to click several photographs of the couple cuddling each other when they were sunbathing by the side of the sea beach. The adventurous Rafa tried his hand at the popular aquatic sport of jet skiing and immensely enjoyed his long ski ride on the sea. The pair even found some spare time to treat themselves to a couple’s massage session at a local spa.

The “Rafael Nadal Foundation” was established in 2004 by former world no.1 tennis star Rafael Nadal and his family with the noble aim to help economically under privileged children and youth who have been deprived of financial benefits. In February 2008 the foundation celebrated its official presentation in Nadal’s birth place, the Spanish town of Manacor. The NGO believes that sports can be used as a medium to enhance social and personal integration. It also provides educational programs to socially deprived youth. The organization works with other NGO’s to achieve its objectives.
