Range Rover presents the high-end Evoque road bike
At this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Range Rover presented the Evoque concept road bike, the newest member of the Range Rover Evoque family. Created by the Land Rover design team, which is headed by Gerry McGovern, the Evoque bike is made from exotic lightweight materials for secure road-racing performance. The bike features a high modulus carbon fiber monocoque frame, which has been crafted by Karbona using techniques taken from Formula 1. The extra-large carbon fiber handlebar stem and aerospace alloy handlebars have been made to complement the rest of the bicycle. They also help ensure safe control at high speeds. Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director, said…
I wanted to create the ultimate accessory for the Range Rover Evoque – and what could be more perfect than an utterly contemporary, beautifully designed, bespoke Evoque bike. Like the Range Rover Evoque, the bike not only looks fantastic but is precision engineered for ultimate performance.
Luxurious attention has been paid to every detail. The frame of the bike flaunts Range Rover and Evoque branding graphics. The transmission is a 20-gear Shimano Ultegra system. While the drivetrain and braking systems come in black chrome, the saddle is done in fine leather. Like Range Rover’s other offerings, the Evoque road bike, with its stunning looks and high-end specs, demands attention.
