Roberto Coin donates gem-studded painting for Haiti
Roberto Coin, the Italian jeweler who is known for his penchant for turning everything into gold including gold sneaker, golden handbag and even a pure gold Pass for Cannes, has landed his precious gems this time for a special painting made by artist Silvano Vecchiato (a student of Annigoni) to benefit the orphans of Haiti. The painting “Madonna with Child and Landscape” of Vicenza, is made with thousands of carats of precious stones (sapphires blacks, diamonds, pearls, rubies, aquamarine, etc.) donated by Roberto Coin. The painting was recently unveiled at Verona luxury fair and was the fruit of one year of hard work. No word is yet available on the estimated price of the painting, but we will keep you posted.
