Romain Jerome’s Art-DNA collection features Skull Watches by John M Armleder
Conceived like veritable works of art; the RJ-Romain Jerome’s exclusively new Art-DNA collection of 10 unique timepieces is the result of Swiss luxury watchmaking Maison’s collaboration with John M Armleder, an internationally renowned Swiss artist. Featuring a recurrent motif in Armleder’s work, the skull, which is an inspiration from Amerindian culture, and has already been featured in mural paintings and as a cut-out on a mirror, the collection is truly an exception encounter between finest watchmaking and contemporary art.

CEO of RJ-Romain Jerome Manuel Emch who is himself a keen collector of contemporary art, and always wished to combine watchmaking and contemporary art, duly teamed up with Swiss artist Armleder who’s a role model for young artists.

Made of polished steel, the Art-DNA watch dials boast skull motif applique, which has been raised and impressively serves to decorate the hammered, polished dial. Further, the applique’s underside has been lacquered with a color revealed by a subtle play of shimmering reflections on the dial.

Notably, each of the watch pieces is in different color, and the watch’s back is numbered and bears an engraved medallion with the artist’s signature.

Interestingly, all these watches that looks-alike are ideally to suited death, which is same for everyone, but takes place differently each time.

Besides, we have earlier seen some of the RJ-Romain Jerome’s finest watches including the recently introduced the DeLorean DNA watch which is a tribute to the legendary DeLorean, the limited edition PAC-MAN watches for gamers, and the Liberty Enlightening RJ-Romain Jerome which watch celebrates the Declaration of Independence, to name a few.
