Hollywood Hills Home
An American actress and singer, Rose Arianna McGowan who's best known for her role as Paige Matthews in The WB Television Network supernatural drama series Charmed recently purchased a property valued at $1.39 million in November 2011 after selling off her majestic Spanish styled home situated in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. The move to her new home was triggered by the actress’ persistent allergic reactions suffered at her old home which was incorrectly blamed on her old residence.
The panic stricken actress sold off the house for a considerable monetary loss to music manager Scott Rodger after an expensive fumigation drive failed. Later McGowan discovered much to her dismay that down pillows used by her actually triggered the allergic reaction and all efforts to buy back her old home failed owing to an exorbitant selling price demanded by Rodgers. Initially, Rose used to dislike her new property but has since developed a liking for it and now resides there alone.
Location: McGowan’s new property is situated in the LA neighborhood of Hollywood Hills.
Accommodation: The two storied home’s living area covers 2950 square feet and has been fitted with four bedrooms, a living room, common dining area and three bathrooms. The 1963 built home sits on 0.25 acre of mostly unused land. A short driveway leads to a two car garage. The modern gourmet styled kitchen has been equipped with a professional range. The terrace offers great views of Los Angeles.
Features: The home has been fitted with a powerful centralized air conditioning system and the flooring of most of the rooms have been done using a mix of expensive materials like polished concrete, taupe wall-to-wall carpeting and medium-brown hardwood. The presence of a fireplace on the outdoor portion of the vial makes it an ideal spot for relaxation in the evening. An intelligent eco-friendly design allows the house to harvest a lot of natural light eliminating the need for expensive artificial illumination.
Neighborhood: Jennifer Aniston owns a home in McGowan’s neighborhood.
