Update: The noted American actor Ryan Phillippe finally sold his Los Angeles home above the famous Sunset Strip for $6m which is almost $1.5m below asking price.

American actor Ryan Phillippe again listed his Los Angeles mansion for sale in the second half of 2012. This time around, the actor has a put a price tag of $6.95 million on the property, which is a steep climb down from the selling rate of $7.45 million quoted two years back when the villa was first put up for sale. However, at that time the mansion failed to attract any buyers forcing Ryan to temporarily shelve his plans off of getting rid of the property.

Philippe bought the property for $7.15 million in year 2008, immediately after his divorce with actress Reese Witherspoon was finalized and moved in there with his ex-girlfriend, actress Abbie Cornish. Currently the actor is the sole occupant of the property ever since Cornish moved out of the villa after their relationship bit the dust. The home was constructed in 1998 by Hollywood producer Sylvio Tabet.

Accommodation: The villa is situated in the middle of a 0.6 acre estate. The main house offers 7,500 square feet of living space and comes with five bedrooms, a modern chef’s kitchen, dining area, living room and seven bathrooms. Features:Philippe has packed the house with plenty of luxury features. The outdoor area of the villa features a kitchen, canopied fire pit, sauna, an outdoor shower, koi pond, walls of flowing water and a spa. The 60 foot swimming pool has been fitted with underwater speakers. The indoor area consists of a step-down bar with an aquarium backdrop, a two storied gym, home theater with drop down movie screen and a Jacuzzi.

Ryan Philippe jetted off to the exotic “Sin City” of Las Vegas on August 2008 in order to spend his 26th birthday. The actor was accompanied by his then girlfriend, actress Abbie Cornish. Philippe’s vacation was also motivated by the actor’s desire to recharge his batteries after the messy divorce proceedings with his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, which concluded on June 2008. Ryan stayed at the elite Venetian Hotel along with his girlfriend for the entire duration of his four day long vacation. Philippe was photographed sipping a cocktail by the side of the hotel’s Asian themed pool named as the “TAO Beach” and also spent plenty of quality time with Cornish.

Philippe enjoyed soaking in the warm sun and sipped several cans of beer. The Hollywood couple celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary at their vacation home. On the other hand, Witherspoon was also photographed shopping for children’s clothing at a local store.
