Sally Field seems to have drunk deep at the fountain of eternal youth! The saga of her success extends through nearly 5 decades with major hits in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and the 2010s too. She is famous for the dramatic characters which she depicts with natural flair and ease. Almost none of her roles have been 'normal' and the awards she has received do not seem to speak of all her skills and talents. To date, she has won two Oscars (Norma Rae and Places in the Heart), two Golden Globes and three Emmys. With successful movies in every decade of her rich acting life which continues even today, it can be safely said that Sally Field's enormous net worth stems from her dramatic roles. Her filmography spans at least 3 dozen titles of which 9 have either been nominees or award winners. She has 20 titles on television with 6 of them being either nominees or winners of several awards. These apart, she also has recorded two titles in her discography. Having completed her middle ages, Sally Field has become an activist of sorts dedicating a lot of her time, energy and resources for women's rights and gay rights. Thus, has been associated with Vital Voices Global Partnership, Global Leadership Awards and Stand up for Cancer. With a successful career still on, it is no surprise that she has owned two homes - one in Malibu worth $7 million and another in Los Angeles worth $2.3 million. The clothes she wears play an important role in keeping her eternally youthful image and they often come from Stella McCartney and Dolce & Gabbana. Being in the filed for so long, she is a regular today at many events. Not much is known about her vacationing for she is not a 'paparazzi-hot' material today. Battling with a crippling osteoporosis disease, Sally Field has become a technology fan, advocating its use in early detection and diagnosis. Sally Field's schooling was with famous and infamous personalities - Cindy Williams, Michael Ovitz and Michael Milken. She hit television screens as the surfer girl in Gidget in the 1960s. That was a boon and curse in a sense. Though it made her very famou, it also typecast her. She broke that type after studying with the famous Lee Strasberg and landing a role in the TV film Sybil. Her depiction of the woman afflicted with dissociative identity disorder won her 2 Emmys. Her film debut was in 1962 in Moon Pilot with her first success coming through The Way West in 1967. Within a decade, she notched up the highest glory through her superlative performance in Norma Rae. Success seemed to always side her on television and in films. Her second Oscar success came in 1984 and currently she has multiple nominations for her 2012 film, Lincoln. And in between all this, she also dabbled in music as a singer. Her personal life has been equally dramatic with Sally involving herself as an activist for women. She has had two marriages, first with Steve Craig and then with Alan Greisman. Both ended with divorces. She has 3 children, two from the first marriage and one from the second.
