Malibu Home
The 1958 two-storey, ranch-style home which Sally Field refurbished and redecorated in 2004 was listed in the market for $5.9 million. She had bought the home from its previous celebrity occupant, Olivia Newton John in 2004. The fall in the original listing price of $6.95 million was obvious considering the hit that the housing market took.
Location: The home is located at Malibu, California, at a short drive from the Pacific. The location is wonderful, overlooking Tuna Canyon Park, round the corner from Promises, the celeb rehab center.
Accommodation: The magnificent Malibu idyll which belongs to the actress has nearly 6,000 feet of living space. It has 5 tastefully furnished bedrooms and 7 bathrooms to go along with that. There are four separate parking spaces on the property and also a separate guest house which can easily accommodate 2-3 people.
Features: Sitting on a pretty 3.1 acres of estate, the grounds surrounding the house boast of a lighted tennis court, a large heated swimming pool, a paddock, a 3-stall barn, a play area and even an office space. The rest of the area is comprised by wooded walking trails which takes one into a natural paradise.
The house has an open-floor plan with all the rooms being literally over-sized. The formal dining hall is huge and attached to it is a gourmet kitchen. There are 3 fireplaces at different places in the house which is completed by a game room and covered patios. The master suite is rumored to be among the largest ever.

New York Apartment
In what could be considered as a move towards downsizing, actress and director Sally Field purchased an apartment in New York City for $2.55 million. The cooperative apartment is part of a building which was designed by Robert T. Lyons, an architect for the Bing brothers. The building was an apartment hotel till 1987 when it was converted into a residential one.
Location: The home is located on the 17th floor of a pre-war, red and brown brick building, known locally as the Bing & Bing building, in the West Village of downtown Manhattan, New York City.
Accommodation: The apartment seems to be a happy marriage of a 1-bedroom apartment and a studio flat. With more than 3,500 square feet of living space, the house has two large bedrooms and two bathrooms distributed as two attached bath which come along with two other WCs as well.
Features: One thing that strikes about the apartment at first sight is the wonderful natural lighting and ventilation in the house. The main entrance leads to a passage in which is located the spacious master bedroom. The living room and dining room have been combined into a large spacious area of nearly 2,800 sq feet. There are two large fireplaces in the apartments which boasts of wonderful sweeping views of the city. The kitchen is ultra-modern with all electrical appliances, including oven, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. The bedrooms have been luxuriously carpeted while wooden flooring dominates the rest of the house.
Neighborhood: Living in the chic and sophisticated West Village, downtown Manhattan is not any commoner's cup of tea. Only celebrities can afford to stay here and some of the big names here are Liv Tyler, Graydon Carter, Daniel Radcliffe, Brooke Shields and Hyatt Bass.
Pacific Palisades mansion
Having sold her 6,000-sq feet Malibu house, actress Sally Field paid $2.3 million for a new home which she purchased on 24th April, 2012. The new pad is special with some unique features and it boasts of complete privacy. It has been built in the casual California style and has been remodeled to perfection.
Location: The home is located in the peaceful Castellammare neighborhood in the fancy Pacific Palisades enclave of Los Angeles.
Accommodation: This special nest has more than 2,800 square feet of living space which has been well distributed between the living room, 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There are also two additional guest suites around the home providing added accommodation for at least another four people.
Features: The house sits in a gated courtyard which has a magical front yard with a stone path leading to the main Dutch door of the house. The yard is perfect for outdoor parties. The views of the ocean, mountains, canyon and city on all sides of the house have been described as 'explosive'. A palette of rich and vibrant colors adorn the living room and dining room with a dramatic stone fireplace. The beams are high and the glass walls offer magnificent views of the outdoors. Brazilian walnut wood floors are a specialty here just as the skylights and private sitting balcony are. The bedroom features walk-in closets and the bathroom has a special spa tub.
Neighborhood: This glitzy neighborhood in Los Angeles is home to more than a hundred celebrities. The list includes names like Ben Affleck, J.J.Abrams, Stuart Glickman, Goldie Hawn, Nicole Kidman and Adam Sandler.

American Foundation for Equal Rights
Sally Field has been a strong activist for gay rights and it appears to be partially inspired by her youngest son who came out that way. She won the 'Ally for Equality' award from Human Rights Campaign in 2012. So, it is no surprise that she supports the American Foundation for Equal Rights which is bent upon winning equal rights for all Americans when it comes to relationships. It leads the fight for marriage-equality in America.
Stand Up To Cancer
Suffering from intense osteoporosis, Sally Field is extra sensitive to health issues that people, especially women, face. She is very vocal in her advocacy of women's health and she backs the charity, Stand up to Cancer. The charity seeks to accelerate the research being done around the world in finding a cure for cancer. It is a forerunner to research new therapies and build collaborations between researchers, doctors and scientists in finding ways to deal with cancer.
Vital Voices
Vital Voices is a charity which is very close to Sally Field's heart. She is a board member in this global partnership which trains and empowers women after identifying emerging individuals and entrepreneurs across the globe. The charity battles against human trafficking, violence against women and girls. It fights for social justice and to create jobs for women within communities.

At the recently concluded 70th Golden Globe Awards in January 2013, Sally Field was seen carrying a Judith Leiber minaudiere as she wore a navy blue dress. This crystal minaudiere with an art-deco pattern is completely beaded with Austrian crystals and arrives in a square, cigar-box shape. Slim and elegant, the expensive minauduere worth $4,000 has a push-button closure and compliments any holiday ensemble. It is a specialty from the Hungarian designer of haute coutre bags, Judith Leiber.

When the Four Seasons Hotel hosted the 13th Annual AFI Awards, Sally Field wore a floral Perry dress designed by renowned designer Stella McCartney. The black and white dress from the English fashion designer has been lavished with lace and floral designs in such a way that it needs minimal jewelry and accessories.
Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 RTW Lace Sheer Dress
A regular at prestigious Award events, Sally Field chose a lace sheer dress from Dolce and Gabbana for the gala of the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards in January 2013. Taken from the Fall 2012 Collection of the brand which featured vines, flowers and laces, the dress in black suited the actress perfectly. It is definitely a masterpiece from the Italian duo who started the high-end fashion house.
