San Francisco Bay Area’s finest home “Villa Belvedere” goes on a private auction at $45 million
The finest, newest, largest and luxurious estate on the San Francisco Bay, Villa Belvedere, which sits on the gated and lushly landscaped 1.14 acre lot and boasts a 15,000 square-feet residence, will now be offered at a private auction sale with an original list price of $45 million, with the portion of the proceeds to benefit the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, along with another buyer’s choice charity. Offering unobstructed, breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, City of San Francisco, Bay Bridge and Sausalito from nearly every room, Villa Belvedere, which is an ideal home to enjoy the upcoming America Cup Challenger Series and Final Races, was also the rare site for the 41st Marin Designer’s Showcase, and was transformed by 24 of the most well-known design firms, with each adopting a room to decorate in their own personal style. The initial bid will start at $25 million and given its original list price, this Bay area home is slated to become the most expensive home in San Francisco, a title which is currently held by a Broadway Street home, which too has been listed for sale, in mid 2012.
