Revise: Sylvester Stallone's son Sage cause of death is officially determined as heart disease not because of drug overdose.Actor and filmmaker Sage Moonblood Stallone’s story is one with which we have sadly become too familiar; the 36-year old creative and very full of life son of the Hollywood superstar Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack, possible use of drug, and an untimely mysterious death.
Sage Stallone was reportedly found unresponsive at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles on Friday, with rumors circulating of possible suicide or a drug overdose ‘accident’. Reportedly, he may have been dead for as long as week before being found by his housekeeper, and depression and prescription drugs have been mooted. And, there were no signs of trauma or foul play, or even a suicide note.
Though, the autopsy of the body has been done, but the cause of the death is still unknown, as the results of the toxicology report is pending.
Reportedly, Sage planned to marry his girlfriend as early as next weekend. Sage’s long time friend and attorney George Braunstein revealed the actor was very full of life and he wanted to tie the knot in Las Vegas in the near future. But, according to some sources, Sage who appeared with his father in iconic movie Rocky V and has 13 movies to his credit, was living in a state of semi-squalor in the months before his death.
The grief-stricken 66-year old father, Slyvestor Stallone is devastated after his first child’s mysterious death, and stated that this agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives.
The eldest son of the action hero, Sage was no spotlight dweller, a reclusive teen. He spent much time watching zombie horror films and is said to have had a strained relationship with his father, at one stage "screaming", he told People magazine in 1996: " 'You never spent time with me! You never spent time with my mother!' - that was true, I was looking into my father's face and really saying that."
Though those near Sage Stallone says there were no signs of trouble in the months leading up to his death, but an editor-in-chief of Girls and Corpses magazine, Robert Rhine said, Stallone took 45 minutes to answer his door the day of the shoot and appeared to be on ‘on something”.
Sage and brother Seargeoh, 32, are sons from the actor's 11-year first marriage, to Sasha Czack. Stallone married Pennsylvania born Sasha in 1974 and after 11 years of marriage, the couple divorced. But, Sasha always adored the company of Sylvester and even accompanied her partner in the 34th Annual Golden Globe Awards held in Beverly Hills. Sasha Czack was born “Alexandra Jane Czack” on 17th July 1950 and was a renowned photographer of her time. She was also the co-writer and lead still photographer of her partner’s movie “Rocky”.
However, the deceased actor’s acting, producing, directing, and writing career was confined primarily to small, independent productions. He directed the documentary Alan Yates and the short film Vic, which he also wrote, acted in, and produced. His mother too appeared in the film. In 1996, he also co-founded Gringhouse releasing with high-profile film editor Bon Murawski.
