In this increasingly polluting consumer society, we usually try better technology to replace bad technology, but still it’ll take some pretty sophisticated approach to change the careless attitude toward the environment. The C02 dress is perhaps the first to hold a place in your wardrobe to flaunt your eco-friendly stance, since not all can be as daring as PETA activists. This beautifully detailed haute-tech dress is the result of a collaboration between, Alexandra Institute, The Danish Design School and embroidery company Forster Rohner. The dress was constructed using soft circuit techniques including a Lilypad Arduino that monitors the CO2 levels in a given environment and visualizes the data in real time with a flickering of light patterns. So, apart from the weekly recycling of trash and reusing of items like paper, its time to move ahead of the elementary understanding of the environmental issues.
