SIM2, the Italian manufacturer famous for its high-end HD home theater projectors, has earlier given us the Grand Cinema C3X 1080 projector, the Lumis 3D projector system and the extravagant Grand cinema HT380 projector. The company is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and to commemorate the same, they are introducing a series of advanced new projector designs, promotions and events in the major U.S. cities. The first offerings in the SIM2’s high-end home entertainment projectors series are the Crystal 35 and Crystal 45, featuring full HD single-chip DLP design for bright, crystal-clear, high-resolution images. The Crystal series projectors enjoy stunning looks, thanks to the renowned industrial designer Giorgio Revoldini. The projectors take design inspiration from Italian classics, and boast bold, straight edges with a modern appearance. Both the Crystal 35 and Crystal 45 are designed to integrate seamlessly into any living space, and are offered in glass surfaced white or black. The Crystal line is compatible with all video standards and offers a wide choice of both analog and digital source inputs. Another offering is the theater-grade C3X LUMIS 3D SOLO, based on the company’s award-winning C3X LUMIS projector and enhanced with SIM2’s PureMotion 3D active technology. A great choice for large-screen home cinema rooms, the C3X LUMIS 3D SOLO features four pairs of XPAND 3D powered active glasses. The new LUMIS 3D SOLO is designed for use in reference home cinemas, media rooms and family/games rooms, in both 2D and 3D. SIM2 is also offering the C3X LUMIS 3D HC, a DCI 3D system for precise color control, well suited for postproduction facilities. The Crystal 35 and Crystal 45 carry a suggested retail price of $6,500 and $8,500 respectively. On the other hand, the C3X LUMIS 3D Solo and the C3X LUMIS 3D HC are priced at $50,000 and $55,000 respectively.
