Singapore club Pangaea and luxury jeweller Mouawad unveils Asia’s most expensive $26,000 cocktail
After the Bartender’s dream of mixing the world’s most expensive cocktail shattered at London’s highly exclusive Playboy Club under the watch of Guinness World records judges, a Singapore’s ultra-exclusive Pangaea lounge is now offering what is said to be the Asia’s most expensive drink, the ‘Jewel of Pangaea’ costing $26,000 a glass. Being promoted as the ‘most extravagant drink of the year’ and exclusively targeted at a distinguished clientele, this expensive drink was unveiled at an exclusive showcase at Marina Bay Sands by luxurious nightclub Pangaea and acclaimed luxury jeweler Mouawad.
With only five such cocktails available at Pangaea, the ‘Jewel of Pangaea’ was exclusively custom-created by Singapore’s award-winning mixologist Ethan Leslie Leong.
Created to taste great, the cocktail contains premium products including the 1985 Vintage Krug champagne, the Richard Hennessey cognac specially infused with gold-flakes, a hickory smoke-infused raw sugar cube with Jerry Bitters, and then garnished with a Triple X 1-carat diamond from the house of jeweler Mouawad.
Notably, Ethan Leslie Leong stated that he spent a total of six months researching the ingredients of the drink and the perfecting the final mix.
At the exclusive event, Mr. Ethan prepared the drink for the first time and also presented it to Ms Sabrina Ault, who is the owner and creative director of Pangaea, and stated the ‘Jewel of Pangaea’ as not just a drink, but an experience, the spirit of Pangaea in a glass.
The other most expensive cocktails from around the world includes world’s most expensive Christmas cocktail at $71,011 a glass and the Louis XIII diamond jubilee cocktail at Four Seasons London sells for $15,362.
We have earlier also seen jeweler Mouawad’s $6.8m snow white princess diamond watch and the Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse, which has been labelled by Guinness Book of World Record as the world’s most expensive handbag worth $3.8 million.
