A song writer, a musician, an actor and a true philanthropist; Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner better known as Sting was the lead singer of the famous rock band The Police. Sting, secluded himself from the band when The Police was at the peak of their popularity in 1984 and established himself as a solo artist. He worked in a variety of musical style throughout his career, incorporating distinct elements of jazz, reggae, classical, new age, and world beat into his music. With a career spanning over 30 years and more than a dozen solo albums, which have sold over 100 million units worldwide, Sting is perhaps the most successful solo artists in history. All this success has realized itself into a fortune exceeding 200 million GBP making him one of the richest persons active on the music scene. At last count, he owned 7 homes spread across Unites States and England.
