The Subaru Impreza WRX STI belongs to the Subaru compact-car line manufactured by Fuji Heavy Industries. It was first produced in 1994 and its line continues till today with improvements and advancements. It has historically been rated as a high-performance compact car with the current car boasting of fuel-efficiency, control-excellence and quick response to slippery conditions. An excellent car for the moderately rich, the car comes in five different models with increasing features and cost. The base model costs about $25,600 while the fully-loaded version costs $37,500.

The interiors of this compact car are definitely spacious. The cargo space becomes 60/40 in size with the flat-folding back seat. The central console area which houses all controls has been elegantly designed to give it a mod and chic look. There is an overhead console with two map lights as well as controls for the power moonroof. The gauges light up with electro-luminescence enhancing the sporty feel of the car. There is a storage tray which is also LED-illuminated and houses a 12-V socket. A leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls complements the black-cloth seats which are ergonomic.

The car has been designed as a 5-door and 4-door compact variants. The body is wide and it has a sport-tuned suspension. Aluminium alloy wheels with large rims accent the car which has a symmetrical all-wheel drive layout. The exhausts are extremely stylish and they sit on either side of the rear. Another distinguishing feature of the rear is a large spoiler which has aerodynamic reasons for existence along with design-based ones. A stylized vent on the bonnet to cool the engine is another distinct feature. Overall, the car has a sloping bonnet with a boxed boot.
