Ever since its formation in London in 1962, the English rock band ‘The Rolling Stones’, have been criss-crossing the globe, playing to multi-millions of adoring fans and earning the distinction of being the greatest touring rock-band of all times. Now five decades later, not only the Rolling Stones are celebrating the fiftieth anniversary that artists in any field would be overjoyed to attain, but also the noted Japanese liquor brand Suntory will be celebrating with the release of a limited edition of its blended whisky Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Whisky. Scheduled to be released as part of the successful cross-category Stones Bar series on 30th this month, the Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Whisky, limited to just 150 bottles, will impressively feature The Rolling Stones’ iconic lips and tongue logo.
This commemorative whisky is a blend of carefully selected six malts distilled and casked in milestone years throughout the iconic rock-band’s proud 50 years of performance, including the Yamazaki malt from the year 1962, during which the band formed.
Its weighty, complex aroma calls to mind both ripened and dried fruits, and even espresso and cacao, and its slight bitterness and rich heaviness expand in the mouth with a velvety smoothness.
This special edition limited production whisky comes bottled in a crystal bottle especially designed around the band’s legendary lips and tongue logo. Boasting a decorative diamond-shaped stopper, the bottle comes in an elegant box modeled after a black sofa.
The Japanese whiskey brand has earlier wooed the whiskey connoisseurs with the launch of its Japan's most expensive single malt "Yamazaki 50-Year-Old." Also, we have earlier told you about the Suntory whiskey boxes containing three special edition whiskeys, which would make for a perfect Christmas gift for friends and family.
