Tag Heuer adds a titanium model to its famous Monaco V4 series
TAG Heuer has given some of the most exceptional timepieces used for competitive sports, and they were the first to master luxury chronographs with a supreme precision of 1/10th, 1/100th and 1/1,000th of a second. This time, the Swiss watchmaker has come up with the Monaco V4 Titanium watch, which is the third member of the Monaco V4 series after the 2009 Platinum watch and the New Generation Rose Gold model from 2010.
Combining Ruthenium, Ceramic and Titanium, the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Titanium makes a bold statement, and bears a close resemblance to the Rose Gold model, as both the models share the same 41mm “New Generation” V4 case. The titanium has been used for the case, hour markers, hands, crown and the folding buckle. While the original V4 was limited to 150 units and the Rose Gold model was restricted to 60 pieces, the new TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Titanium is a limited edition of only 200 pieces.
The V4 is handmade inside the haute horology workshop at TAG Heuer’s headquarters. The Monaco V4 Titanium goes on sale in October 2011 for a price of CHF100,000 (about $120,000).
