OHEA Smart Bed
Those who are tired of making their bed, and wish that their bed gets magically made, OHEA is the solution. Spanish furniture company OHEA is now offering a self-making ‘smart bed’ that automatically tidies the sheet and pillows the moment you stand up. The ides of developing this smart bed was actually based on an idea that making the bed after getting up is a daily chore.
However, the actual bed-making process starts with the Smart Bed’s weight sensor. When the bed is occupied, it’s in off-mode, and when the sleeper rises, it gets automatically activated in just 3 seconds to make up the bed. The automatic/manual mechanism in the headboard pulls the pillow straight and raises them; meanwhile, a pair of lids running down the sides of the mattress open and a pair of robotic arms deploy to straighten up the bed sheet. After this, the pillows are dropped, the arms retract and the lids close, leaving behind a neatly bed. The whole of the making-the-bed operation takes just 50 seconds, and can be seen in this video.
