Toyota Land Cruiser SUV

Toyota Land Cruiser SUV

The Toyota Land Cruiser has been synonymous with all-terrain dexterity and rugged proficiency. The earliest versions of the SUV were the type BJ Land Cruisers introduced in the early 1950s. But after the launch of the iconic FJ40s engine in the early 1960s, the brand was endowed with a legacy that was hard to imitate. Since then, the Toyota Land Cruiser has developed in size and concentrated more on conforming to distinct consumer appeals. Over the years, Toyota has upgraded the SUV with premium accommodations and luxury features, thereby enabling the more reasonable FJ Cruiser to lead the preference for the definitive Cruiser models.

Buyers can get a feel of the Land Cruiser’s excellent off-road capabilities by just a mere glimpse of its stately cabin. Some of the notable features include customized leather furnishings, a 4-zone climate regulation system, wooden trims, navigation gadgets, a fourteen-speaker sound system, three seating rows for a maximum of up to eight people and parking sensors for all 4 corners. Further enhancements include a back-seat DVD entertainment player, centrally placed cooler box and the Entune smartphone telephone integration system.

Land Cruiser's on-road performance, equanimity as well as its spacious accommodations have been generously commended by industry experts across the world. Buyers however, must take note of the fact that the third-row seats are meant for kids only. Others who tend to test its true all terrain drivability may find the car running out of ground clearance treacherous territories.

The 2013 version of the Land Cruiser is endowed with rejuvenated exterior styling, which includes a restructured front grille and headlamps with low-beam HIDs. Newer features also include daytime LED running lights, chrome molded corners, refurbished outer mirrors and tail lamps. The current design specs embody the progressive and rugged credentials via its enlarged front and back fenders. The improvised grille and headlamps uphold the Land Cruiser's sturdy and self-assured appearance, while the hood streams gracefully into the grille and belt-lines.

Character lines in the region around the back door handles and door panels are indicative of strength, while the panels behind the front bumper extending under the engine, up to back of the rear wheels, are intended to shield the engine and transmission from any shock or collision, and to enable the car to smoothly negotiate rocky landscapes. The 2013 edition is offered in seven exterior colors, inclusive of the latest addition to the color palette i.e. Pearl White.
