Travelteq admittedly so hasn’t been on the map of things for quiet the time being, ever since their feature of the Trip Suitcase meant for traveler gifts in 2010. However, after a couple of years they bring in the X Cicli Maestro bicycle, which shall gain prominence amongst those who use this mode of traveling, especially the Dutch. Customary since ages, the nation’s most common mode of everyday transport seems to have gained prominence, prompting the company to create a product that would indeed stand out from competition, for it’s and looks and high quality.

Cicli Maestro has historical roots of sorts. It is known as the city where much of the Italian designs have their origin, and hence any product will indeed display those elements as an integral part of their design. In case, the steel frame of the cycle, comes crafted in parts and assembled by hand, to build something which is the main stay of the vehicle. The story of craftsmanship then continues to the special ivory paint, which is a triple coat individually done by hand. Then comes the Brooks saddle leather seats and bar handles, which are also the most premium variety one could find for this thing. The makers of the bike are even offering a couple of options for the handlebar; the sports model and city use model. Depending on the using patterns, one could take a pick from them.

Getting into the technical parts, the bike has Saccon dual pivot alloy brakes, and 30mm double walled aluminum rimmed tiers with stainless steel pokes. The drivetrain of the bike comprises of cold forged aluminum 48T chainwheel, CB E110 brakes, 18T sprocket, and the 5-arm spider with stack bolts. To someone who travels on bikes regularly it all would make better sense, but rest assured that the engineering has indeed been done with care. So, if you are looking to buy one of these, the cycle comes with a price tag of $1,105 (€850) and delivery time of 1 month. Should you have a taste for other designs, we suggest taking a look at the Brompton London folder cycle, that comes with its own set of accessories as well, but with a higher price tag.

Thanks Tjin!
