Trump Gets Scottish Council’s Approval to Build Lavish Golf Courses
Donald Trump will finally be building the world’s greatest golf course on the Scottish coastline that inhabits seven species of endangered rare birds. A local council gave him the green signal to go ahead with the construction, but the proposal still needs the approval of the Scottish government. The golf resort will come up at the Menie Estate, north of Aberdeen, for a whopping $2.1 billion, complete with 18-hole courses, a luxurious 450-bedroom hotel, 950 vacation homes, 36 golf villas and 500 upscale homes, costing from $827,000 to more than $2.1 million each. George Sorial, Trump’s spokesperson, seemed elated at the council’s decision, and so were his supporters, who pointed out that the resort would create 6,000 jobs, and give an impetus to tourism in a big way.
