Vauxhall VXR8

The Vauxhall VXR8 shows the impressive result that one can achieve when one begins with a clean canvas, creative thinking and a mission to redefine world class saloons. Produced by HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) based in Australia, this 4-door muscle saloon from Vauxhall is an all-new species of a beast on the road! The basic underpinnings of this high performance luxury sedan are based on the mainstream Holden Commodore car models of the same year. Successor to the Monaro VXR, this car has a growl about it, thanks to its power and torque. It was released in the United Kingdom in March 2011 at a price of $75,750 for the basic model.

The sporty and functional interiors of the VXR8 boast of an excellent performance fascia. The leather-covered steering wheel in this right-hand drive car is having a flat bottom with perforated grip holes. A state-of-the-art infotainment system adorns the console with USB connectivity, Bluetooth and support for the iPod. A multi-function display panel sits right in the center. The instrumentation panel is neat and elegant, featuring auxiliary gauges for battery voltage, oil temperature and oil pressure. The climate-control system comes with variable side-to-side settings. The seats can be electronically adjusted in eight different ways and the press of a button initiates cruise-control in the car.

The car has been designed like a powerhouse exuding horsepowers in plenty. The gentle gradient of the bonnet has been punched with two awesome-looking air scoops. Each headlamp consists of three separate lights which ensure a greater high-beam range. The front wings have been vented in aero-style and this also helps friction-free passage of air at high speeds. The rear spoiler is of the twin-post variety and beneath it is the rear bumper that has in it a shockwave graphic grille. The front bumper too has a similar grille with a wide air-intake. High-performance alloy wheels from Bridgestone complete the treads of this car. The safety chassis is controlled electronically as is the multi-link rear suspension. Overall, the styling is aggressive and aerodynamic - a combination of the beauty along with the beast!
