The Viceroy Maldives Resort

Location: The Viceroy Maldives Resort is situated on the Vagaru Island, which forms the Maldives as a nation, which is entirely based within the Indian Ocean. With the waters varying from dark blue or a lighter shade of aquatic blue, the edges of the island barricaded by a stream of palm trees, nature’s best gifts are put together in an ideal setting for the resort. The Beach Villa includes a secluded location on around the edges of the sea, and offers a private garden amongst other things. Just like the other villas, it enjoys privacy, but also the unique experience of a plunge pool, and an external shower area amongst others. It’s also known for the views of greenery around.

The Deluxe Beach Villa has all the benefits of a general beach villa, but carries with the additional benefit of having direct access to the beach area, as well as the vast expanse of greenery around. Apart from the private garden, there is the floor to ceiling windows, which further allows nature to be direct view of guests. For accommodation, there is the twin sharing bedroom alongside the master suite, which makes it ideal for couples and small families.

The Water villa is all about being in the water, as the villa is suspended for the lagoon below. Even though there is considerable privacy due to its distance with any other villa, it places the whole arrangement right in the middle of the water body, giving views which are unparalleled truly. Natural lighting is never really a problem.

The Deluxe Water Villa is rather similar to the general category; instead this one has an additional floor, where one can set up modular furniture and chairs to get the best of the oceanic and water lagoon views. This space could be an ideal zone for photography for some nature photography as well.

The Royal Villa is the premium of all accommodation arrangements at the resort, which offers a 3-bedroom setup and other amenities like floor to ceiling glass windows, a 60 square meter plunge pool, a media lounge, fully fledged bar, and a champion category pool table area. The ones staying at the lower level of this villa, could also gain a direct and private access to the lagoon area for some scuba diving.

Dining: Mainly targeted at the most discerning of diners for the resort, there are 7 different options to choose from based on the ambience in each of these outlets.

Open-air dining

Vista is the premier place for enjoying a thoroughly loaded breakfast, which would offer a variety of Eastern and Western cuisine based selections. There is also the option of selecting from the healthy section which offers low fat food like yogurts, fresh fruits, apart from some tradionaly complaint options.

Cerchio is the place to be indulging in Italian delicacies, in a rather intimate setup. One can enjoy the candle lit dinner amidst privacy and an apt ambience. This outlet also boasts of a huge selection of Italian and International wines.

AOC is the specialist zone for wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike, where every occasion and theme has an accompanying wine. From the vineyards of France to those of Italy, the variety is extensive for selection. The added advantage is the option of either having a private session of 2 or 3 people, or a group event for around 14 people at the same time. This would appeal to families, couples, and even friends’ groups as well.

Treehouse is the outlet capturing the flavors and theme of the Middle East at best. Set within the lap of nature, one can soak in the nature outside, while tasting the finest selection of Arabian dishes, along with smoking seeshas or enjoying post dinner drinks. The low laying seating arrangement with plush cushion takes one into a phase of Middle Eastern royalty.
