Beloved by classic car enthusiasts and savviest collectors, the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud was the core model of the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars range for almost 11 years, starting from April 1955 until March 1966. Following the launch of Silver Cloud I in 1955, the motoring icon for 100 years, Rolls-Royce introduced the Silver Cloud II in year 1959 with an improved acceleration and torque. Now, taking a million steps further, one example of the 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II has been adorned with more than million Swarovski cut crystals. Though, we have earlier seen some of the absolutely incredible bling-bling vehicles, including the swarovski-covered Mercedes, but this particular blinged example on display at the Four Seasons Hotel in Munich, has taken the Rolls-Royce luxury to an altogether different level. This adorned vehicle for sale is also expected to fetch a handsome price like the vintage Rolls-Royce ‘Honeymoon Express’, which is one of the only two Silver Clouds ever produced, and the world’s most expensive Rolls-Royce.
From boot to bonnet, the entire classic automobile has been studded with trademark cut crystals glass, and shimmers with the entire rainbow colors, thanks to the unique way the crystals refract the light.
The million Swarovski crystal covered model is set to be auctioned in the coming months for the ‘Help in Motion’ charity, a non-profit organization helping the drug addicts.
Speaking about the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II model, it comes with a 6.2 L V8 engine, which actually pushed the car’s weight to 2.11 tonnes. However, the performance of this $9,526 luxury vehicle was greatly improved and the top speed was considerably raised to 183 km/h, besides other up-gradations like the power steering and electrically operated windows.
