Virgin America and Gilt City join hands to offer their Airbus A320 named after you for $60k

Being personalized in your service offerings seems to be the only way; you would survive in this cut throat competition of brands, which segment it may be. With luxury vacationing and travel still being a part of every rich folks roster, it isn’t a surprise that more companies are vying for ways to retain and gain more customers, such as we saw in the Prontojet personalized services for its premium customers. Now Richard Branson owned Virgin America and Gilt City have come together to offer their customers, an Airbus A320 which can be personalized by naming the plane after the guests. Priced at $60,000, this offering will include a round trip for 145 guests in a luxury ambience.

Like the name sounds, this unique service by Virgin America and Gilt City will indeed cater to the hedonistic needs of its customers. For $60,000 a trip, one would need 145 of his/her friends to get together and enjoy the luxurious of this gigantic Airbus A320 aircraft, which amongst others will have special line of staff as well, to cater to guest needs. Even the catering on board will be per the host/hostess special tastes, as the menu will set according to individual orders. Other amenities on board will also include the specialized décor and ambience, along with the entertainment system with multiple options for individual preferences for music and movies, an also the wi-fi internet in case the guests prefer being online most of the time.

Looking at the current route map, one can spot most prominent cities in U.S. on the Virgin America special flight. They include Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle, and New York. The biggest catch of the lot is that you can select the dates for the round trip, but the return date has to be within May 28, 2013. So, whether it’s the much needed company vacation, club vacation, or just a bunch of friends getting together, this option is certainly worth spending the cash for.
