Virgin Atlantic’s new Upper Class Cabin for the high flyers

Luxury air travel is reaching new heights, as prestigious airline companies are doing everything to woo the one percent by offering the best possible in-flight luxuries, entertainment and well-equipped individual suites for effortless travel. We have earlier seen some of the world’s luxurious airlines, with most luxurious first class and business class cabins for the discerning travelers. And, the latest for the high flyers, Virgin Atlantic airline is now offering new Upper Class Suite, with try before you buy approach. Akin to Google Street View, the exclusive Planeview feature provides a virtual tour of the new suite, along with a series of YouTube videos, giving you a 360 degree insight of their new upper class cabin.

Four years of extensive research, imagination and expert design have gone into re-engineering and re-inventing the Upper Class Suite, and the award winning seat to create something more elite and comfortable. Virgin Atlantic proudly offers the longest full flat bed in business class, delivering a fabulous new onboard experience.

The Seating: Virgin Atlantic’s new Upper Class Suite offers revolutionary comfort system, providing a more luxurious and comfortable sleeps with its huge 87-inch bed surface, which is longer than any other airlines business class bed.

High-flyers will get to sit on the new super lounger, the espresso colored leather seat which is more spacious than ever. With an extra 1.5 inch seat-width, the seat also reclines about 50% more than the standard seats; it’s perfect for a snooze on the shorter flights.

Further, it offers new mood lighting system which is programmed to create unique, calming environments for you to work, sleep, dine and socialize.

A new window has been built into the wall of each of the suites, delivering more natural light and space. In addition, its special opaque design offers the same level of privacy the Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class is famous for.

The Food: On boarding the plane, passengers will get the preflight glass of Lanson Black Label Champagne or Bucks Fizz. Further, the quality of our food has been enhanced using a delicious, improved selection of produce. Also, there are few special surprises, which have been saved until you get onboard.

The futuristic new onboard bar which is separate from the cabin offers new spaces to sit and socialize with fellow passengers.

Entertainment: Each suite comes equipped with 12.1 inch touch-screen monitor with a touch-screen handset which is loaded with Virgin Atlantic’s brand new entertainment system called JAM. Passengers can connect the phone, tablet or USB stick to access their personal data for entertainment.

Also, passengers can watch the latest movies and TV, and can immerse themselves in the music with everything from Bach to Beyoncé, or play video games for a wide selection. Or, just see where in the world you are with the Skymap.

Other notable highlights:-

A new literature pocket and two ottoman storage solutions offers more of handy storage than ever, to keep everything right where you need it.

In-seat power supply compatible with most international plug types helps you to keep your laptop powered throughout the flight.

Another most notable facility include the AeroMobile system, which is installed on all of the A330 aircraft to let the passengers make and receive phone calls and send texts from their own mobile phones.

Each suite is fitted with a push panel armrest, a handy new flip down cocktail table, and a fully-adjustable reading light along with a conveniently located headphone jack.
