The two new limited edition bikes commissioned by Wallpaper can be broken down, packed in a custom designed bag and taken anywhere with the utmost ease. Frame builders, designers, paint specialists, saddle makers, leather carvers and bag and luggage makers were commissioned from the US, UK and Japan to make sure that the bike’s every element is outstanding. First is the International bike, which was made in collaboration with US-Japanese operation Kinfolk, Coat, Brooks and Nivaldo de Lima. Kinfolk provided the handcrafted frames, Coast did the paint job, Brooks did the leather saddles and Nivaldo de Lima created the beautiful handbuilt bike bag with the finest hides. There are two on-off models of the International bike. The first one with a dark blue 54cm frame is available at £2,450 and the other one with light blue 58cm frame comes for £3,000, excluding shipping. Nivaldo de Lima’s bike bag, which was specifically for the International bike, is priced at £2,500. The Wallpaper City bike has been designed by Japanese bike builder Shiko Matsuda who works under the brand name Level. This bike features paint job by Tokyo firm Fuji Kogyo and a bespoke white Brooks B17 saddle with matching bar tape. The City bike is available for £1,255 plus shipping.
