Maîtres du Temps 'Chapter Two' diamond watch by Daniel Roth
Over the recent past when we followed Maitres du Temps as a watchmaker, we came to a common ground in concluding that each new offering, is indeed another chapter in fine watch making. Raising their bar for crafted timepieces yet again, they bring in the Chapter two watch, which combines 2 different functions (big date and triple calendar) along with great aesthetics highlighted by diamonds, on to this common platform. Despite all complications within its core movement, reading time didn’t get much easier than this, especially for the specific genre of watches.

Breittling for Bentley limited edition watches celebrate the launch of Continental GT V8
After last year’s partnership between Bentley Motors and Breitling, the pair comes together yet again before the launch of the new Bentley GT V8, with its limited edition V8 watch. For the duo that created equal master class watches such as the Supersports ultra-light body watch and the Ice Speed record chronograph, they have once again come together for this limited edition timepiece, of which only 250 will ever be out to wear, with each bearing a price tag of $10,590. For a car which goes well over $200K, seems rather reasonable.

After the 80th anniversary Reverso series last year, we were left wondering about a new stroke of creativity from the luxury watch maker, when suddenly we saw the AMVOX 5 Chronograph LMP1 watch. And before we got bored, all of us watch lovers have been given the gift of the Atmos Marqueterie ‘The Kiss’ clock, which brings back to life the famous piece of work by Gustav Klimt. Hopefully, those who have cherished different works of the artist, and like collecting specimens, could definitely take a shot at getting one of these 10 clocks.

Revelation to debut double complication watch for Baselworld 2012
For a company that joined the luxury watch making arena in 2007, Revelation seems to be prepared to give the big guns at Baselworld 2012 a rather stiff competition, with their latest creation, the R01 double complication watch. Available in 4 distinct fabrication options in precious metals, this watch displays horological complications, its mastery within the maker’s think-tank, and also an optical trick which isn’t very common among the rest. Limited to around 15 units per series, its carries a premium price along with its aesthetics, which is stated to cost the buyer $161,528 (CHF150,000) each.

De Bethune DB28 Aiguille d’Or watch gets released as a limited edition series
De Bethune which had previously created some special masterpieces last year, including the De Grissogono Otturatore and the DB25 for Only Watch 2011, has now introduced another horological masterpiece in the DB28 Aiguille d’Or. Released as a limited edition of just 50 units, it will re-master the technology and engineering which it had shown last year and won awards, at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix. Setting it apart in the now crowded world of luxury watches, is the special pocket watch shaped exterior frame of the casing, all made from high grade titanium.

Hublot goes extra-thin with its limited edition skeleton watch
In the upcoming Baselworld 2012 event, Hublot will be showcasing another limited edition skeleton watch which will bring in a new concept in Hublot palette. Till date, the commonality in Hublot designs, apart from the chassis shape, has been the level of thickness of each timepiece. Whether it was the amFAR collection or Big Bang Ferrari tourbillon, each of these watches had a thicker casing design, which is perhaps on the road to becoming history. This year the Classic Fusion Extra Thin Skeleton Watch will showcase Hublot mastery at watch making, with all its signature styling, except for a thinner skeleton makeover. Available in 2 options of King Gold and Titanium, these watches will be the blend of tradition and modernity.

Grieb & Benzinger unveil 3 of the world’s heaviest platinum watches
Watchmaker Grieb & Benzinger, along with elite guests from Rolls-Royce Motorcars and Revolution Magazine, have unveiled 3 masterpiece watches, which are supposedly the heaviest and most complicated platinum watches in the world. Known for their detailed and individualistic crafting, the total value of watch set is known to be in excess of $1.5 million. Unveiled at a private ceremony in Singapore, the watches included were the Blue Danube, Blue Whirlwind, and Blue Sensation. From what is to be gathered, they are creating quiet the waves in the haute horological world, as they come with solid platinum casings and core movements developed from the house of Patek Philippe, over 120 years ago.

Limited ediiton Porsche Design watches set marks its 40th anniversary
Back in 1972, Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche went on to create a design studio of his own, that would go on to become one of the premier names in the field, christened Porsche Designs. Though it was expected that the entity would dish out new iconic designs like the Porsche 911 car in 1963, it actually ended up taking an entirely different route and instead became a center for creating designs which match up to the standards of Porsche aesthetics. Some of them included watches as well, such as the P6510 black chronograph, P6520 compass watch and also the P6530 Titanium Chronograph. Now that it is time to celebrate 40 years of the creation of the design entity, these watches are being released as limited edition series of 500 boxes, which will have a single unit of each of these watches.

Saint Honore Opera ladies watch collection gets a diamond studded Black Eclair effect
With the time honored saying of ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’, the Saint Honore Opera Ladies watch presents itself as a true testimony of it. Housed in a shimmering black case and dial, a quantifiable amount of glittery diamonds surround the outer ring of the case. Even the prominent dial inside hasn’t been spared, but hopefully doesn’t overload. Without a shred of doubt, this timepiece is a head-turner, following the likes of some previous masterpieces we had featured here from their collection of men’s watches like the The Line anniversary and Haussman 7-24 watches. Saint Honore doesn’t seem to be short of ideas to amaze the women watch lovers in anyway.
