World’s most expensive golf cart goes street legal
The luxurious Garia golf cart, manufactured at the same factory that builds the Porsche Boxster and Cayman, is now also available as an LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) equally fit for the golf course and the road. The Garia LSV, street-legal version of the world’s most expensive golf cart, has been fitted with street legal safety equipment such as seatbelts and side mirrors and a hydraulic brake system. The Garia LSV is being claimed to do 25mph with its 4hp electric motor. Priced at a cool £40,000 (about $61,980), the street-legal multi-purpose electrical golf car has hand-stitched seats, 10-inch aluminum wheels, digital instrumentation layout and a refrigerator built into the dashboard.
Anders Lynge, Creative Director of Garia A/S and designer of the Garia, said…
The Garia LSV is ideal for shorter trips and recreational purposes and it is possible to drive directly from your home to, for example, the golf course. This is something many people will appreciate, and it makes the Garia LSV a unique product.
The Garia boasts a Formula 1 inspired front suspension, a drive train built by an Italian company that also produces Ducati gearboxes and aluminum profiles made by the company that supplies aluminum profiles to Aston Martin, Jaguar and Volvo.
The road-legal version is currently only available in the U.S.
