World’s most expensive white wine sells for $123,000
A true wine connoisseur knows the value of an age old wine, as they say “older it is, better it gets”. Classic wines are chosen from some of the brilliant vineyards and may sell for thousands of dollars per bottle, and for someone who understands the value of that bottle, never minds spending a fortune on it. So, for true wine lovers world’s most expensive wine has been sold for $123,000 (£75,000)
A 200 year old of 1811 Château d’Yquem was sold by The Antique Wine Company, London to a private collector Christian Vanneque. The buyer intends to exhibit this most expensive wine in his restaurant in Bali in a bullet-proof, temperature-controlled showcase. The special wine has a history of collecting 100 points from the respected wine critic Robert Parker. The wine was under supervision and vigilance and had undergone many tests on authenticity, including tests on the corks, capsule and the color of the bottle.
According to the proud owner of the wine,
“This wine is very special – it is attached to the most renowned white wine in the world, and it was produced in the year of the Great Comet, which was believed to enhance the quality of the wine,” It is a rare wine, which been tasted on three occasions and each time received five out of five stars, It was not just purchased as an investment – it is also going to be an enjoyment.”
