Diederick Kraaijeveld of Oudhout is back again. First, I would like to congratulate him for being featured in that glossy Vietnamese magazine for his iconic Aston Martin done in salvaged wood. This time, he has done a Ferrari 410 S Scaglietti Spyder 1956 in originally colored vintage wood. The wood for this yellow Ferrari has been found in dumpsters, along faraway coasts and in old mansions all over the world. In fact, the hood was done from an old front door that the self-taught artist found in a large dumpster in his hometown of Hilversum. Some of the light blue parts are from an antique cupboard that he encountered in Umbria, Italy. Kraaijeveld always uses wooden parts from Italy when he does an Italian car. The unique artwork will be exhibited in his Dubai gallery. Every piece of his assemblages is genuine colored vintage wood. No paint is used, not even a driblet. Prices for Oudhout artwork are EUR 15,000 and up.

Thanks, Diederick Kraaijeveld
