The savvy internet investor and newly minted billionaire Yuri Milner bought the French Chateau-style mansion In Silicon Valley for record $100 million, known as the highest price paid for a single family dwelling in the United States. He bought this 18the-century French chateaux home from Fred Chan, the founder of ESS technologies. So far, Yuri Milner has no plans to shift to his new home

The Setting: Designed by the prestigious William Hablinski with his partner Richard Manion’s Architectural & Planning Group, the sprawling 25,000 sq. ft mansion with sizeable grounds sets on a spectacular 18-acre hilltop site with breathtaking panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay. This classical estate is organized around a central entry court enclosing a formal entrance on three sides.
Accommodation: The mansion got a 25,500 sq. ft of living area, purposely located on the second floor to take advantage of the spectacular Bay views. With a frieze around a skylight in the entryway, the home includes its own car wash, tennis court, along with indoor and outdoor pools. The architectures have designed the north wing solely for entertainment on a grand scale with ballroom, formal dining room, home theater, wine cellar and spa with gym. Whereas, the south wing of the house includes family rooms, bedroom suites and nine bathrooms.
Yuri Milner, the tech investor lives with his artist wife Julia and his two daughters in his high-rise penthouse apartment. Across the marble floor of the palatial living area, there is a huge set of windows overlooking the city glittering under the heaps of snow. The hallways are painted with a wild combination of purple, green and orange, credit to Milner’s contemporary artist wife.

Features: In one of the rooms of Yuri Milner’s penthouse, there are nine giant flat-screens airing overseas business channels like CNN and CNBC. The desk area in the home boasts three screens, with one showing Twitter feed of mentions of Milner or his businesses and DST Global. Further, on to the left of the home, a glassed-in area has a small grove of lemon trees.
